The New Orleans City Council approved $4.6 million in education grants from The Harrah’s Fund for three NOLA Public Schools programs: the Travis Hill School at the city’s juvenile detention center; the Center for Resilience, which serves students with severe behavioral health needs; and the district’s program addressing truancy.

COVID cases, quarantines in New Orleans public schools show big drop

New Orleans public schools saw a significant decrease in COVID cases after the early January surge. New Orleans public schools have a mask requirement for students and staff and will require vaccinations for students over age five starting February 1st.
